This will be the second movie in the Girls x Heroine Series that was set to be released on April 29, 2021 however the movie was then announced to be postposed indefinitely on April 26 due to Japan announcing a state of emergency in Tokyo from April 25 – May 11 (though later extended) for Covid-19.

It was later announced on May 10 that the movie was to release on May 21, 2021.
On December 23 via Oha Suta, the theme song was revealed to be “STARRRT!” provided by Girls2, with lovely2 also participating in the song.
